Welcome Everyone! Welcome to Our Blue Moon Ranch located in West Central Alberta, not too far from the Canadian Rockies. My family has been
in the Equine ranching business for quite a few years. My father,
Alfred Carter, was one of the first ranchers to start back in 1967.
When the opportunity for me to run my own ranch came up, I grabbed it!
Like my father, I raised draft and draft cross mares.
When I married my husband Marion, we added in foundation quarter horses, along with our two beautiful daughters, Robyn and Paige. The saddle horses we are raising are used for cattle penning in the winter and local rodeos in the summer. Time permitting, we try to escape at least twice a year to the mountains to do some riding. A great addition in our barn was a gift from my father to the girls, a beautiful team of Canadians. My dad and I started them as yearlings and now our oldest, Robyn who is 8, likes to drive them. The girls and I have embarked on a new adventures, raising and selling registered Pomeranian puppies. Our first litter had two pups, male and female, which are now gone. Please check back to see when our next litter is due.
In our Sales Barn you will find our Blue Moon Ranch horses. The horses you will find in Foals, Mares, Geldings and Stallions are from neighboring ranches in our area. Please contact us is you have any questions.
